The DGT website for paying fines in Spain has recently been updated, which means that the URL http://multas.dgt.es is no longer operational. Notifications issued by the Spanish DGT include this quick access web address, which may cause access errors. The DGT payment web address is https://sedeapl.dgt.gob.es:7443/WEB_IWPS5_INET/jsp/sincertificado/index.jspx?indexIdioma=en.
Payments can also be made by bank transfer, as indicated in the notifications and on the official website of the body responsible for road safety in Spain. The details for making the bank transfer to the DGT’s account are as follows:
IBAN: ES11 2100 5731 710200203821
SWIFT/BIC: CAIXESBB or CAIXESBBXXX
Tax identification number (CIF): Q2816003D
Account name: Jefatura Central de Tráfico – Sanciones extranjero.
It is very important to include the penalty file number in the reference field. Please check that this number is correct before making the transfer, as otherwise the fine will not be considered paid. In addition, any bank charges incurred will always be borne by the person concerned.
